Web Design
Information
Here at e-Relativity we have a simple mission; to deliver high end, functional web design for a reasonable price While most design firms make a living on hourly rates and grinding out the clock, we charge a set price for web design with your satisfaction guaranteed!
Our Design Process
We design all of our sites on a live domain so that our clients can see the site coming together. This also allows us to keep an open line of communication throughout the design process. The sites we design use your choice of content management systems that once integrated into the site, will allow the client the ability to maintain and update the site's content (i.e. articles and images), with no coding experience. Once the site is completed, you will be given access to e-Relativity's exclusive video tutorials, showing you step by step pointers to maintaining your site.
Web Design and
Content Management Systems
We choose to design all of our sites using one of the world's two most popular content management systems (CMS), Joomla and Wordpress. The advantages are:
A. Functionality
These systems are both award winning in design and ease of use. With a few simple lessons and/or access to e-Relativity's video tutorial section, you will be able to edit articles, add photos, and more.
B. Cost
Since both Joomla and Wordpress are open source CMS's they are free to use and save our clients the cost of us custom designing a CMS for them.
C. Designer Friendly
Some design firms build their clients custom Content Management Systems, not because their clients need or ask for them, but because if no one else knows how the program (CMS) is designed, it is job security for the firm. These designers often end up taking advantage of their clients in the form of time and money. Using the world's most popular CMSs means that our clients can find another designer to work on their site, and that we must maintain a high level of quality and performance to keep clients, rather than counting on fear of loosing their site and having to start over.
How to Choose
Content Managment System
Joomla-
The Joomla content management system has been ranked the #1 CMS by web designers for several years now. It offers designers a completely flexible system to design on, while providing user friendly back end and front end content management. Joomla is well-organized and logically constructed and while being slightly more compex to use than Wordpress, what Joomla lacks in ease it makes up for in possibilities. Some features include; multiple level users (i.e editors, publishers, admins), easy to install flexible templates, some of the most advanced e-commerce systems available, SEO and Meta tag friendly and most importantly, it is completely customizable. Along with millions of small sites and companies, some major companies that use the Joomla CMS are Burger King, Dannon, Ebay Analytics, Epson, IHop, Linux, Nikon, Olympus, Sprint, The United Nations, and the US Government to name a few.
Joomla is a perfect fit for all levels of users and companies.
Wordpress-
Wordpress was originally designed as a blogging CMS and is considered the world's most popular CMS for its ease of use for beginners and simple add on widgets and templates. The only problem is, what Wordpress offers in simplicity, it lacks in flexibility. While newer plugins have been released allowing users to run shopping systems, real estate listings and more, the CMS is still designed for beginners and handcuffs designers into the same thought process. There is a reason why millions of people run Wordpress sites, there is also a reason why very few large businesses and no major corporations use Wordpress for their sites. Wordress is perfect for blogging sites and small companies that foresee limited growth and personal webpages.
If you are still having trouble deciding, I will leave you with this: You can run Wordpress on a Joomla operated CMS, but you cannot run Joomla on Wordpress operated CMS.
